The other day, undercover police shot a terrorist suspect at the tube. I don't understand it, even Saddam Hussein must be trialed to get a death sentence. So I asked, "What if, they shoot the wrong person?"
Later, they apologized for shooting the wrong person, he was just an ordinary guy from Brazil. Of coz they were trying to defend themselves by saying that the guy ran and looked suspicious. It was, after all, a statement to justify their mistake. I was vexed and I thought that was one of the dumbest explanations ever. After reading the news, a lot of people accepted the explanation. They said he somehow deserved it because he ran away. What they didn't see was to put themselves in the victim's shoes. If the police approached me, I would have stopped. But the story is different when the police is undercover, dressed in plain clothes. If there was a gang of fierce-looking men running after me, I would run too even if they told me to stop. Especially when I'm in a foreign country. I wouldn't be that stupid to stop. What if they mistook me for another person and attacked me? What if they wanted to mug me? I hate it when stupid people actually made life and death decision. And even more vexed when dumb people support these stupid decisions. One of my frens even dismissed the seriousness of this incident by justifying that everything is fated.
? What's wrong with these people?
One of my frens just passed away after a tragic fall from 5th storey. It was shocking and sad. The malaysian police ruled that either he committed suicide or lost balance. My fren was jovial and smart, we doubted he even tried committing suicide. Even if he really did, who would choose a 5th storey from a hotel to jump from? If he really lost balance from the balcony I thought someone should sue/fine the hotel for unsafe construction design. Whichever the case is, the police did not carry out proper investigation since they cremated the body in a day and thus, no chance of autopsy being carried out. I saw the body, and it was heartbreaking, coz he was really pale (from lost of blood?) and his teeth were gritted together as if he was in a lot of pain. I hate to lose a friend like this. RIP J.
